Getting started

  1. Choose Open File or Open Folder in QuietMD.
  2. Grant access to a local Markdown file or folder with the system picker.
  3. QuietMD reads only what you select and never edits the original files.

Common questions

Which devices and orientations are supported? iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later. iPad supports portrait and landscape with an adaptive sidebar; iPhone uses portrait orientation.

Which files are supported? UTF-8 .md and .markdown files.

Why are remote images blocked? QuietMD stays local-first. Local images inside the authorized folder can be displayed, while remote images are blocked by design.

Can I edit documents? No. QuietMD is a lightweight reader and keeps source files read-only.
